Urgent Call to Prayer from Rabbi Marty

February 23rd, 2022 | TJCII Blog

Grace and Shalom to you and your families.

I am sending out this update outside of our usual schedule as this is too urgent a matter to wait. I send the video above and article below in hopes of arousing our TJCII constituents to immediate and urgent prayer for the Ukraine. TJCII is effecting to rouse churches and synagogues around the world to pray in this crucial moment.

The video above came from good friends who live in Ukraine.  They share details regarding the desperation over the current situation and the urgent need to pray for intervention.

Included below is a link to Joel Rosenberg’s newsletter, which speaks directly to the issue of Ukraine and Russia. I hope you will read Joel’s newsletter today.  He is sending a “Wake up” call to Christians.

His level of concern is apparent in the article. I agree with his concern. Putin’s actions are indeed reminiscent of Hitler; gobbling up little pieces of Europe at first then deciding to fully invade because none would oppose him. The war the Hitler began impacted the whole world and created a ripple effect of impact that has lasted through decades and generations. Hitler’s war left a terrible stain in our history. A history that includes the murder of 12 million people, 6 million of which were Jews!

Putin wants more than Europe. Like Hitler, he has a vision. However, Putin’s vision reaches beyond Europe and has set his eyes on the Middle East, specifically Israel.  (Read Ezekiel 38). The time to pray is now.

Prayer points:

1. Pray that the LORD will foil Putin’s plans to invade. Pray for the G0D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to   intervene.

2. Pray peace and safety for the Ukrainian people, especially for those in the household of faith in Yeshua (Jesus).  Pray for the remaining Jewish and Messianic Jewish communities.

3. Pray for world leaders, especially in the West, to stand for Ukraine and stop Putin’s invasion.

Love and blessings,
