TJCII Europe

BEGINNINGS

The main leadership of TJCII began with 7 Messianic Jewish leaders from Israel and the USA, and 7 Gentile Christian leaders from the USA and Europe.

HISTORY

In Europe, the Messianic Jewish movement has been longest established in England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The historical significance of Europe in the lives of the Jewish people as well as those who identify with the Church cannot be overstated. Perhaps this is one of the reasons G-d has moved so powerfully on the hearts of Jewish and Gentile believers across this great continent giving them His heart for the message of TJCII. Repentance, reconciliation and unity are not only a way of life with TJCII Europe, but it is the very passion of living.

TJCII consultations, gatherings and meetings are held several times a year across Europe. In addition, TJCII joins with other groups who have mutual goals. Most recently, a powerful TJCII joint-conference of repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation occurred on April 13, 2013 in Slovakia.

Slovakia was the first Axis nation to consent to deporting its Jewish citizens, as part of the “Final Solution.”  In the Košice region, a large Jewish community flourished before the Holocaust. Here, TJCII leaders joined others dealing with this history, walking through the Košice ghetto and praying for forgiveness and healing. Hungarian brothers and sisters joined those in Slovakia as both groups repented for their part in Slovak Holocaust.  These wounds carry over into modern days but G-d is faithful to forgive and heal and entire nations are impacted in the process!
